The Golden Lion Inn is a
Traditional 17th century coaching inn situated on the High Street in
Bridgnorth, near to the Northgate. The river Severn and the Severn Valley
Railway are both a short walk away, as are the remains of Bridgnorth castle,
the Bridgnorth funicular railway and some superb views over the river Severn
from the old town walls.
The Golden Lion is renowned locally for it's fine
range of ales and superb home cooked food but also provides the only bed and
breakfast accommodation on Bridgnorth's historic High Street. There is a
large car park at the rear with the car park entrance facing the famous old
St Leonard's church.
The Golden Lion Inn has two comfortable lounge areas and a traditional
public bar with facilities for darts, quoits, dominoes, other pub games and
a television mainly devoted to sport and with terrestrial, Sky, Setanta and
all satellite channels available in 'High Definition'..
Excellent home cooked meals are available from 12 noon to 2
p.m. from Monday to Saturday and until 2.30 p.m. on a Sunday.

cliff top walk that takes you past St Mary's church and the
Theatre-on-the-Steps.
In Low Town you can enjoy scenic walks along the banks of the river
Severn, view Lavington's Hole or take a trip on the world famous Severn
Valley Steam Railway. Bishop Percy's House and Cartway are other old
historical attractions.
